Open call - Residency for new work for young audiences

Dates: June 5-12th 2024

Butiken in Hörken announces a residency for professional artists working in dance, choreography and performance, who wants to develop work for young audiences. You as artist/s, dramaturg Moa Backman and producers Terry Johnson and Sara Bergsmark work together to develop your idea for the age group you see as your audience. We share material and experiences, and will at some point meet with the age group the work is created for. We encourage applications from artists with limited experience but curiosity around working with young audiences. Your work can be in an early state of development, and we see this as a period of research rather than a production residency.

The residency, which takes place in Hörken in Ljusnarberg, is suitable for artist/groups of 1-3 people that work with a production, artistic research or other forms of performative work. The residency starts and ends on a Wednesday. We plan the week together according to the artist's needs.

Included in the residency:
A residency fee of 15 000 SEK to be paid to the artist, round trip to Hörken, per diem, accommodation and free access to studio and office space.
