BUTIKEN 2022

In 2022, we hosted five residencies focusing on navigating, placing and planning the work of the participating artists. The conversations took a starting point in the pandemic to clarify and deepen a long-term and sustainable practice for the selected artist(s). The residency also included the opportunity to technical coaching with a technical coordinator, go on study visits in the area as well as inviting an external guest with a certain expertise.

Artists participating in these residencies were: Adam Seid Tahir & Lydia Östberg Diakité, Ar Utke Acs, Aleksandar Georgiev, Tilman O´Donnell and Sunniva Vikør Egenes. We’re thankful for wide range of conversations, practices, hopes and visions we got to be a part of during these weeks.

In the fall of 2022, we welcomed a group of five freelance performing arts producers for our first producer’s residency. This took the form of a group residency where we exchanged thoughts and experiences, as well as dive into specific themes together with invited guests: leadership and group development with PeO Sander, marketing/communication with Anna Wallgren and organizing a freelance structure together with AnAku.
